At the heart of Variety’s fundraising efforts is the very unique Variety Bash® - a mad-cap adventure full of eccentric vehicles, unusual characters and heart-felt philanthropy the Variety Bash travels hundreds of kilometres every year raising funds, distributing grants and telling the Variety story.
Bashers drive an eclectic range of ‘older’ vehicles (preferably pre-1970), many of which have been specially customised to ‘reflect their team's personality’ but even if you don’t have access to a vehicle you may still be able to join in the fun as ‘crew’.

Hell of the North Bike Race
Schnappa Rock, Tutukaka
Scenic ride over 110km. 8 challenging climbs. Are you ready to take on the challenge? or take the easy option and ride 65km.
With over 300 entrants, this gruelling road race takes in some pretty steep hills, and attracts competitors from all over NZ.
Start and finish is at Schnappa Rock Restaurant, in Tutukaka.
